About Me

My name is Shanna, and I am the proud mother to a precious little angel.

Lucas was born March 21, 2007 at 33 weeks. I had an emergency c-section, and was told my son was not going to make it. I couldn't understand. I couldn't comprehend what was going on. How could I say goodbye to someone I had never met face to face? How do I say goodbye to someone I loved more then words can say?  I didn't say goodbye. I couldn't say goodbye. I didn't know how too.
My life was changed forever.

4 months later, by the grace of God I was walking out of the hospital with my son.

He is now 3 years old, and the smartest, most loving little boy.
Words cannot express how much my life has changed...
Words cannot express how much I, as a person, have changed.
I am a stay at home mom, and take college classes full time online.
I enjoy blogging, and love to share my thoughts and ideas.

I can relate to that fear of your child not making it... What a handsome boy he is today! You must be so proud of all he has accomplished in his little life so far.

I'm so glad your son beat the odds against him! He looks strong now!

I have two sons, both of which got really sick as babies. Mica my oldest got a staph infection in his neck. His neck kept getting bigger and bigger. We were worried his throat would close up. I think he might of gotten it through an ear infection on the same side as the staph. Isaak my youngest got meningitis when he was two months. I think the worst part about that was when they had to do a spinal tap on him. I was kicked out of the room. I was nursing and started leaking because I was so emotional.

Luckily both of my kiddo's are like your son, strong. No side effects from what they went through. I'm so glad!
